mot test

Hi my indy has its first mot tomorow it is a ford pinto 2l the reg number is a G ------ .on the log book the CO,s and HC don,t have any thing next to them so what will the tester test them at ?

Something like 4.5 Co and 1200 Hc. I think.

..nowt if its on a Q plate..
Depends on how he reads the rules and what the computer spits out.
Anything i've taken kitcar ish on a Q has just been checked for visable smoke.

It,s on zx9r bike carbs and i don,t know if they will be ok on emisions

A If your car has an AGE-RELATED plate he’ll assume that the engine is the same age as the plate and do the test accordingly. However, if your age-related plate refers to pre-Aug 1998 (‘S’ Prefix) you will continue to get the visible smoke test for the life of the vehicle REGARDLESS of the age of the engine. Remember though that this does NOT include PERSONALISED plates as in this case the vehicle will continue to be tested according to its age and NOT the vehicle registration number.

Hi all i have just got back from the MOT the emisions were CO,S 1.9 and the HC were1200 at 1500rpm thats with zx9r bike carbs fitted and yes it did pass the mot so roll on may 1st
