Sierra indicator switch

I am thinking of ditching the standard sierra indicator switch setup in favour of a two way switch mounted on the dash. Is this acceptable for sva or does it have to be self cancelling.

It doesn't have to be self cancelling, but I think you'd need a three way switch in the ON-OFF-ON configuration.
