They are made for a VW Gold MK4 handbrake cable- dunno if the sierra one works.

Probably like me he's sceptical about asking the supplier if their product works!

Seriously I'd like to know as I want to replace the Sierra lumps on mine. Wasn't it the Wilwoods which don't exactly work that well? The Hi Spec calipers look rather appealing too but at £170+VAt each!

I spoke with Rally Design earlier this year and they do not think the Golf calipers will fit a sierra rear end assy without so extensive mods. They recommended the Wilwood kit but they did say that hand brake effort was a little low. I think a number of people have used them though.

They work with the Golf handbrake because they are Golf callipers. Also found on various other VW, Audi and Seat cars.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Can't you use a Vented disc caliper from a Metro turbo/GTa with a solid disc? All you need is a template of the pad with an extended end for the handbrake cable and a return spring. Job done.

i think you might find that those marlin calipers are exactly the same as the willwood ones, i have them on the rear of mine and look exactly the same

edit: actually looking closer, the mechanism is very very similar but the willwood leavers are recessed into the housing not just 2 plates either side.
