Nice video.

You were taking a much wider line out of the final corner in the complex. I was trying to keep tight to the red & white kerb on the inside, but your line allows you to get the power on much earlier.

Oh well, must try harder next time!

Mike

The wider line definately helps there - just wish I remembered that on the long corner, I was turning in far too early on that every lap

One thing that concerns me though. My quickest lap times seemed about 1/2 second slower than my quickest last year and I can't really figure out why.

I was having to use the clutch on upshifts because the Kliktronic wasn't working properly clutchless, but that shouldn't equate to 1/2 second a lap should it?

Other than that I've got new tyres, which are softer and should give me much more grip (certainly gave me better feedback) - but I did notice when they were being fitted that even though my old and new tyres were a 195 width, the new ones seemed to have less contact width, as if the sides were tapered inwards - not sure how much effect this would have, perhaps lower pressures might help?

Only other thing is I've had the front-end apart over the winter for painting ( don't worry all the critical parts are nyloced and threadlocked ) and then got my bro' to help me setup the geometry. Didn't have to touch the rear it was spot on, but I ended up having to take a few turns of camber off the upper 'bones to get to -1.5ish, as it was nearer 3-4 degrees! I don't believe this would have caused it either though because I assume I would have noticed considerable understeer with insufficient front camber?

Maybe I've just got fatter
