Gearing.....
Now that I can finally thrash my car , I`ve found a bit of a problem - its too fast !
By that I mean the gearing is way too high - it will do 70 in second , nearly a ton in third , and so far I`ve had 120......in fourth and still
pulling like a train
I`ve already bought a 4.1 diff off fleabay to replace the 3.89 thats in there , I'm even wondering about going lower ?
Anybody got a guide to working out theoretical speeds/gearing type calculations ? I`m not too good at that sort of thinking
Its cuz I is blond , innit

By my reconing and what you have said, with the 4.1 fitted you'll top out at 66 in second if that helps?

Thanks for the link - that is just what I need !
I`ve had a quick play , and it looks like I need a 4.5 diff.......
That would still give me 130mph at 7000 - sounds about right to me , but where can I get one of those cheap

Elsewhere on the web, someone suggested that you can get a 4.5:1 Subaru diff. I'd guess you'd have to source some custom driveshafts,
unless you got lucky with the Subaru track...

That sounds similar to the gearing I'm planning for my Epona. It should have 63 in 2nd, 91 in 3rd, 124 in 4th, and top out in 5th/6th, depending
upon gearbox, at 152. That's running a 3.62 diff with 15"wheels.
