Hi Dan,

Did you buy that fury?? I'll be there, pop over and say hello.

Marc isn't racing at doni as his car isn't ready. Not sure what's happening with the lotus thingy

daniel mason - 19/3/13 at 10:27 PM

hi austen, i did buy it and the brian james tiltbed. ill pop over for a chat if you have time between races. pics in my archive mate!

yellowcab - 20/3/13 at 07:58 AM

I'll be there rigged up with both cameras, doing the race photography, and will be in the pits taking pics too.

Pop over and say hello, I'll have a press hi-vis on.

hope to be there to spectate at least but my car still needs rolling road and setup and with it being the begining of the season we are flat out work wise.... even brands is looking unlikely as we just have too much to do, especially before stoneliegh

snetterton is looking the more likely first event for me

cgeers

SCAR - 22/3/13 at 09:22 AM

Apparently the Donington Airport snow clearing trucks have entered the Sports GT races and are tipped to win

Depends how hard it's snowing.

Jon Ison - 22/3/13 at 10:36 AM

local (ish) update, any snow at the moment is wet slushy stuff and not settling

eddie99 - 22/3/13 at 11:25 AM

Its been cancelled.

DONINGTON PARK RACE MEETING POSTPONED

After discussions with the Clerk of the Course and Giles, with photgraphs of current conditions at Donington and with regard to the instructions in the MSA Blue Book (Section E, page 92):

14.3.
Snow and Ice: The following areas must be free of all snow and ice before racing can commence:
14.3.1.
The race track, including verges, either up to the safety bank or for a width of 3m whichever is
the lesser.
14.3.2.
The paddock, the pits and communication roads.
14.4.
Where course verges are cleared, any snow must not be piled into banks.
14.4.1.
When a track is snow or icebound an inspection should be made 24 hours before the start of Official
practice to decide whether or not the meeting will be cancelled or postponed.
14.4.2.
If an adverse decision is taken, the MSA, the
MSA Steward and media must be notified.

We have reluctantly agreed that tomorrow's race meeting is postponed. In the fullness of time Giles will re-schedule the whole meeting.

A further communication detailing all of the information that affected competitors will need will be issued in due course. Please do not call or email the Club office to try to find out for yourself - this will only impede and delay the work that the team need to do.

Please could we ask that some true 'club spirit' is shown and you make sure fellow competitors, marshals etc that may not have seen this announcement are aware of the news.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
