Ta Alan,
I was about to say what a great bunch they all are.......but after James' comments, all I can say is that some (one) definately needs therapy for his delusions..........

Come off it you're just jealous about Conrod, Bob, Ned and me setting up the new Locost Chippendales and not asking you to join.

As we said at your audition- just work on those pecs a bit more and you'll be in no probs!

Cheers,
James
... God I crack myself up!...

Fozzie - 25/2/05 at 12:20 PM

Yup ya right James! Totally jealous
Personaly I think me pecs are just about OK, its me 6 pack I am having problems with!
I doubt that I will ever get to Bob, conrods and your level of 'body beautiful'....ever!
As for the chippendales, I think I will have to be the Walton chippen-monk!...singular tee-hee
Fozzie

Surrey Dave - 25/2/05 at 03:53 PM

Me an' Donut are starting 'THE BLOBBENDALES' !! Rescued attachment troop.jpg

James

donut - 25/2/05 at 06:37 PM

And here is a pic of me and Surry Dave before we descovered beer!

Now look at us!!!

[Edited on 25/2/05 by donut]

bob - 25/2/05 at 07:04 PM

I am very concerned with dave and donuts photo collection

And even more concerned that they wish to share the photos with us

Kitlooney1000 - 25/2/05 at 07:12 PM

I'm beginning to worry about introducing the newforest lot to your lot now fozzie, .
Do you think you will be able to control them on the day?????????

[Edited on 25/2/05 by Kitlooney1000]

Fozzie - 25/2/05 at 07:50 PM

Know what you mean Lew!
Trust James to lower the tone!, he has missed so many meetings of late, by either going to the wrong place, or from someone putting too much redbull in his vodka! Bless him, he's just getting a wee bit excited.
Don't worry the newforest lot will be fine
Looking forward to seeing you all, as I know Alan is too!
Fozzie

Surrey Dave - 25/2/05 at 08:12 PM

Dont Worry we're all quite normal up around these parts!!!!!! Rescued attachment kos.jpg

Kitlooney1000 - 6/4/05 at 08:23 PM

Ok, For the New Foresters that couldn't make the last meet. If the weather is fine on sunday, we will be meeting at rownhams services on the M27 at 8.30am.
If the weather is not so good, then ring or email me for a lift, Andy and I will take the tin tops, so limited seats will be available.

Lew

Surrey Dave - 8/4/05 at 10:52 AM

Fozzie - 8/4/05 at 12:23 PM

As of midday today (Friday), the BBC say the weather in Guildford for Sunday will be Sunny all day and 15degs C..........
But it does tend to change by the hour

Fozzie

Jasper....you will be missed!

Surrey Dave - 8/4/05 at 02:15 PM

Jasper who?!!!!

Jasper - 8/4/05 at 02:25 PM

She's changed her mind and is now coming to work (no pressure!) so I'll be there ........ you may need to introduce me to this 'Dave' character

Fozzie - 8/4/05 at 02:27 PM

Fozzie

Surrey Dave - 8/4/05 at 03:10 PM

She must read 'locostbuilders' and realise she was for the tin tack next week!!!

Let's hope the weather works out!!.....

JamJah - 8/4/05 at 04:45 PM

Lew,
If its wet then I'll take my car; if its dry, I'm guessing the spaces in the 7s have all gone - so again I'm taking my car!
So thatll be two tin tops and a canvas top.
Need the Box Hedge Clippers on for a drive like that I think!

J

Surrey Dave - 9/4/05 at 01:34 PM

Tragedy ......when yer engines gone and you can't go on it 's Tragedy!!!!!!!

Looks like the old motor has had enough ,I thought I would be able to nurse it to Newlands before ripping it apart on Monday, but it's pumping out toooo much oil now.

So I won't be out to play on Sunday morning ,i'm v. dissappointed but what can you do?

i told you those bike carbs where too powerful for my aged CVH...

[Edited on 9/4/05 by Surrey Dave]

Fozzie - 9/4/05 at 01:47 PM

Oh bummer
Dave that is such bad news!
Sorry to hear that mate!
If theres owt we can do to help...ya know where we are!

Can't ya come in ya tin-top?

ATB Fozzie

ned - 9/4/05 at 04:31 PM

if it would help anyone i can post a weather report for guildford tomorrow morning, I can practically see newlands corner from my house..

Ned.

JamJah - 9/4/05 at 09:16 PM

ned, i used to be able to see newlands from mine. Lived on star hill in woking.
Moved though....

theconrodkid - 10/4/05 at 02:06 PM

well that was fun, nice to see some new faces and meet Alan b, 10 cars turned up and the sun came out

bob - 10/4/05 at 02:46 PM

They need to employ an ugly bird to serve the food and drinks at newlands,i had my monthly quota of coffee in 2 hrs

Kitlooney1000 - 10/4/05 at 04:23 PM

Did everyone get home with out incident?
I managed to break my speedo cable and my mate broke his front wing stay.

Lew

PS Pics taken from newlands going in photo archive later today

donut - 10/4/05 at 04:48 PM

I broke the speed limit a few times!!

JamJah - 10/4/05 at 04:49 PM

What you mean. I didnt see a looker in the coffee place.
Furrilly good fun. Good to match names and faces.
Im very jealous of Fozzie. I'll do you a swap. My pile of metal and aging escort parts for... what you mean no! Very good looking car cosmetically and oily bits. Wont ask the build cost! Think I'd weep.

Must go down in history for the slowest locost drive. Southampton to Newlands (approx 70 miles) in three hours was it lew?

Thanks all for a great day!

Kitlooney1000 - 10/4/05 at 04:51 PM

Dont forget the tour of Guildford and Newlands surrounding area also, Still, Nice roads round there, you lots are so lucky.

Fozzie - 10/4/05 at 05:06 PM

Great meeting, and thanks to all who came to visit from afar, it was great to see you all.
Thanks Jam-Jah for the nice comments.....but it didn't cost as much as you think.....honestly! just lots and lots of cleaning of parts. The webers were in a right state when they were donated, the engine/gearbox from the '78 donor etc, etc. just loads of time with cleaning
Pictures soon in my archive, and perhaps a couple in a new thread. Some didnt come out too well, sommat to do with the sun in the lens!.........
Took Alan and Jen for Sunday lunch down by the Thames, and they are now on their way back to Preston.
Again, great to see so many cars and faces.
ATB Fozzie

bob - 10/4/05 at 06:40 PM

It was a great meet, shame is was only a couple of hours

Nice to meet alanb and partner, also the new forest boys too.

there are some nice pics in kitcarlooney's archive

[Edited on 10/4/05 by bob]

Fozzie - 10/4/05 at 06:59 PM

Agreed Bob, much better than my 'sun in the lens' feeble efforts lol
Cheers Lew, great pictures!

Fozzie

James - 12/4/05 at 08:55 AM

Great to meet everyone including the AlanB and Jen and the New Forest Massive.
Bit of inspiration to get my arse moving with the car again.

Did anybody else 'catch the sun' a little? My face is still pink now. Maybe it was the two hours kickboxing outside afterwards that did it though!

You never know- by 2010 you might see my car up there!

Cheers,
James

JamJah - 12/4/05 at 11:14 AM

One side of my face is a little tender. I think it was driving home that did it. Mixture of wind and sun. And that was in the tartsmobile. (not my favourite car at the moment!)
