SteveO - 17/5/05 at 05:32 PM

Hi guys,

Just glanced thro whichkit mag and read a bit about the London Brighton run for kitcars and classics cars, the routs for both will be different but i just wanna know if anyone's doing or did it in the past? It's 75 big ones for driver and passenger.
I'm thinking about it......

When is it chaps? I'm suppposed to be working on a Pontins holiday camp of all hellholes from next monday somewhere in deepest, darkest Brighton and i wouldn't mind a butchers hook.

theconrodkid - 17/5/05 at 06:06 PM

you can join the jam anywhere for free,£75 to park on medira drive!!!!!
we could all go and park at jaspers

Yes - all I could see the £75 got you was a certificate and parking spot for the day.

Perhaps someone should organise a locost version...

theconrodkid - 17/5/05 at 06:41 PM

hm locost version (free)make your own certificate and meet at a cafe comewhere near brighton.
what we need now is an orginiser

Good thinking guys, true what they say two heads always better than one.
Anyone up for it? it beat spending 75quid for a sticker and parking bay.
...London starting point...(cough) anyone around that area..hint hint

steve

when is it running ?

Some could start in the smoke if they wanted but you could then have pickup points on the way,its a pretty easy route to go down south.

ned - 18/5/05 at 08:48 AM

i could sort out a nice route, i know quite a few nice roads between guildford and steyning what about starting with breakfast at walton bridge, then lunch down at jaspers for a bbq or perhaps a local pub if jasper is busy

Ned.

ps who can i blag a passenger ride off please

bob - 18/5/05 at 08:57 AM

I have a friend who owns a small bar in findon valley http://www.thecaledonianbar.co.uk/

might be able to sort some food

Surrey Dave - 18/5/05 at 10:14 AM

We could do our own Newlands to Littlehampton or Bognor or Worthing run , park up for free and eat chips!.

Whats the law about mobs of people driving about ,we dont want to get arrested as new age travellers man

ned - 18/5/05 at 10:18 AM

walton -> byfleet -> ripley -> send -> old woking -> worplesdon -> normandy -> compton -> milford -> a283 to petworth -> a283 to pulborough -> a283 to upper beeding, then either down to shorehama nd along hte see front or cut across to the a23 and into brighton..

or from newlands, down the a281 to alfold, take the b2133 down through loxwood, down to adversane and on to ashington, then steyning, upper beeding etc etc

Ned.

theconrodkid - 18/5/05 at 01:46 PM

SteveO - 18/5/05 at 05:26 PM

Anyway i'm up for it.

Jasper - 4/6/05 at 02:50 PM

And you'd all be welcome at mine for a BBQ in Shoreham-by-Sea, with nice sea views! You'll have to bring supplies though ...., plent of space for parking too

How about waiting till July, can do the 17th or 24th???

£75 is a rip off, I think the Mini one is about £10-£15, and you get a T-shirt and DVD!
