I am sure I saw someone with only a couple of hundred posts but he had 7 stars ........... I must be getting old or the carb cleaner I'm using today had gone to my head

could be if they were a 'contributor' ie had made a donation as chrisw can set the stars as a special status if this is the case.

No, the only time I ever used the faq was to look up bbcode, there is a link to that section from the "BB Code is On" line just to the left of where you type the message.

So bottom line is yes I did cheat

Don't know why Chris removed the link from the front page - I agree it used to be there.
