Bobbin type engine mounts
Ugg10 - 20/10/14 at 09:08 AM

I am designing the mounts for my Zetec SE to go in my 105e Anglia. I need some bobbin type engine mounts.

I have found the Landrover mounts that are often used in seven type cars (think I used themin my Fury) but these are 76mm diametre and I am looking for a smaller one.

Therefore, anyone know of/has a link to a bobbin type engine mount with a diametre of around 50mm, approx 35mm high ?

Many thanks in advance.

P.S. I do have somehting that looks like this on my garage but no idea what it is from, it has a plate with two mounting holes on one side and a threaded stud on the top. If I get chance I will post up a picture.

I used Metro ( 3" x 2" ) but only because they were in ( old ) stock at my factors.

Google Robush for all sorts and sizes of anti vibe mounts.
I buy exhaust bobbins from them.

Just a quicky:
I lot of these anti-vibration mounts are not really strong enough for engine mounts. They'll happily hold the weight of an engine, but in use, you'll have ???BHP trying to pull the mounts apart.

What about these bit pricey but should be stronger

Thanks for the heads up on the AV mounts will look into them. However, the AV monts list deisel engines as one application. I'm lucky in that is it does let go I have a cross memeber to stop it dropping out the bottom of the car (not that I would ever want that to happen).

The polyurathane ones are the same size as the Landrover mounts (75mm diam x 35-40 high) but five times the price. Thanks for the info though.

We use AV mounts on our gensets but not as engine mounts. We use them to mount stuff onto the gensets. If you look on the site linked above, they have mountings specifically listed as engine mountings.

ETA: these are listed as engine mountings
