Repacking fire blade silencer

Hi all

I bought a wadding roll to go in my silencer, all ready to slide onto the inner tube. The only way I can get it slide on nicely is if I leave the thin plastic inner in place. Is this ok? I am guessing it will burn the plastic when first used.

I tried to slide on without ant the wire wool just stays at the top.

Any advice is welcome.

never tried myself, cant you slide it on then slide the plastic out ?

Yep the plastic just burns off.
