BEC reverse light switch

Hi guys,

Just wondering how others have gone about fitting a reverse light switch?
I've got a reverse box fitted but it doesn't have an internal switch like the quaife, so need to figure out some way of fitting one.

How have you guys gone about it? Any photos would be great!

Was thinking handbrake switch that's pushed when my reverse lever is operated to earth the switch?

Cheers

Dave

That'd work. You are allowed a manual switch, as long as it has a dash warning light.

Exactly as you sugguest, a foot/hand brake switch or metal armed microswitch on the revese selector

I used a motorbike brake light micro switch on the reverse leaver saves having a warning light. Not difficult to install.

This is what we did

Reverse switch MNR reverse box
Reverse switch MNR reverse box

could be applied anywhere.
Good luck

still have some of these microswitches I think.

£5 microswitch from Maplin, the type with the long thin metal arm, attach is so that it is activate when you push the gear knob, job done
