Well, the best laid plans and all that...
After spending till 2.30 in the garage this morning getting the car finished, we went to put it on the trailer we'd borrowed, only to find it was
too wide to fit! Tried driving it, but we've not had time to do more than a v. basic map, and couldn't even get it up the shallow slope we
live on...
Will try and get hold of the test station to see if we can get it tested this afternoon instead, and go and hire a trailer from somewhere to take it
down there - if not, it looks like IVA for us....
(The trailer normally transports a Spire GT-R around, so I thought that would be wider than a 7 - apparently not!)
Now I don't know whether I feel sick / tired / fed up / completely at a loss for what to do....
Just thought I'd share
Cheers
Vince
B*gger! Gutted for you. Try ringing the centre just before 8 (but I know most of them are flat out currently)
keep your chin up mate it will all come good for you in the end good luck paul
worth it in the end, you'll look back on this and laugh...honestly
Sit down and have a cup of Tea take a deep breath and look at the positives.

I know it's maybe too far/late but U-Pull Bristol (0117 9612317) have a wide car trailer, cheap too.

Totally gutted for you, hope you manage to get it sorted - let us all know
when I took my mirage countach home on the trailer the stupid thing was so wide it rested on the railings on the side of the trailer rather than the bits meant for the wheels. Drove all about 200miles like that and it was fine.
cant you drive it there?
would be a worthy test!
i had the same thing getting it back from MNR - trailer too narrow by about 2 inches
Gutted for you hope you get sorted
Unfortunate, I had trouble getting to mine as well. didnt make it in the end but had a great shakedown of 65 miles trying to get there.
Anyway i hope you get there in the end!!!
Tow rope???
