Registration services for international ??

Hey,
I could not find any agencies that would provide registration services, expect GTS tunning but he won't return my emails.

Do you guys know any? I live in France and would like to know before I start building if I can actually make it street legal.

I'm in France and it's like running against a brick wall.

It's a real struggle, but I'll keep on trying.

Who knows, I might get mine re-registered some day!!

Way round this- - - Register car in GB and "import " it into France

Won't let you import as there is no 'certificate of conformity' from a manufacturer.

The fact that it is roadworthy in UK is irrelevant to the French!

A MAC is not a 'certificate of conformity'.

Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to do. I want GB registration with GB plates. Insurance doesn't mind that I drive with those.
And legally I am allowed to drive a foreign car in France.

BUT I cannot find a place that would register it for me

You can try to ask if France has an individual approval as ment in article 24 of the regulation 2007/46/EC.

So if the vehicle has an IAC this document says in 3.3.2. how they should behave:

You are only allowed to drive a foreign car i France under certain rules.

After 90 continuous days in France it is illegal and must be registered as a French car and they won't let me!

When I lived up north I got around this by leaving the country ( to UK, Belgium) and keeping proof of this in the car.

Now I live further south it's difficult.

If you replace the letters fr in EN you will have the english version.

But if you're living in France now, is there no exemption due your movement from UK to France? In NL there are exemptions.

Long story short:
According to French laws, an international student can drive a car for up to a year in France with foreign plates.

I am a student in France and I pay my taxes in USA/Singapore.

So I have no problems driving a car with foreign registration and plates. I just need a company that would take car of it for me.
