Toyo R888 or Yoko A048.

You will be AMAZED at the difference.

I went from a539 and haven't looked back!

Sorry for the hijack but I am also looking for recommendations for 13" tyres, specifically for wetter conditions. Currently running Avon A048 which are great in the dry. I want to save these for the summer and get a set of something more suitable for the darker months. Anyone tried the Toyo T1-R?

Hi

Personally i'd save my cash and buy the cheapest tin top with a working heater and 6 months MoT I could find for those wet dark days

The smallest T1R's are 14's I think?

But if you're serious about it:-

The posts above illustrate how most Tin Top orientated tyres are way too hard for a 7, so to get a Wet to work you're really looking for a soft(ish) 'performance' tyre in a full wet pattern.. tricky..
But I'm lead to believe if you talk to BMTR nicley they'll cut an Avon ZZR to a full wet - make sure you tell them it's for road use so you want A60 compound..
