megabusa steering column

I'm in the process of putting an old Westfield kit together
The steering column does not seem to be iva compliant.
What do I need to change/modify/buy/borrow to get this to pass the newer iva rules?

They still use that column.

Use a Westfield steering wheel and collapsible boss. They are always for sale on the WSCC forum, usually £30 all in.

Another approach is to use a column off a more modern car like a Ford fiesta/puma/etc you will then get into adapting it to fit the rack. They always look for a dog leg in the coupling as well but you have that already.

That's great info. So the column is fine + all I require is a colabsable boss and iva wheel from westfield

Is this what I need? if I can't get the parts second hand

I think you will also need an offset in the rack-column link or a sierra/series land stearing link that collapses on itself. many westfield owners struggle at IVA with the the column and usually a phone call to the factory from the IVA inspector sorts it, but your column/downlink looks too straight to me

On another note, check to see if you haf a 10 degree offset in the downlink looking from the side of the car.

Yea looks to have just over 10 degrees
