kevano - 28/9/05 at 08:28 AM

Triton - 28/9/05 at 10:54 AM

Cheers Kev glad you like them mate.

Any chance of a picture or 3?

Cheers
Mark.

Triton - 28/9/05 at 10:56 AM

Kev,
Make a template in card then transfer that to the floor.....or put studs in seats then blob of summat wet so it marks the floor (or is that another daft idea!!)

Cheers
Mark

Lotusmark2 - 28/9/05 at 11:00 AM

Can you make a fat boy version of that seat for my single seater?

Triton - 28/9/05 at 11:11 AM

Mr Lotus bloke......funny you say that because i have just the very thing.....looks similar but wider in the kidney area and big blokes fit them with ease....ooo and they still fit the Locost chassis

The mould needs a bit more time to cure before i can start making them though.
Cheers
Mark

Lotusmark2 - 28/9/05 at 11:15 AM

Sounds good mate, can you drop me an email with an idea of price.
Cheers

ko_racer - 28/9/05 at 02:19 PM

I've got these seats too, just fitting them and wonder how you go about cutting the side holes for the harnesses???

Once cut I assume you need to trim them in some sort of non-abrasive edging.

kevano - 28/9/05 at 03:57 PM

fitting them tonight and tomorrow triton. i'll get some good pics for you tomorrow if it's dry.been to work in it today with the seats loose, they're so much better than intatrims(for me) cheers kev

Triton are you going to Exeter show next month?
I am contimplating changing my seats as I want to sit lower. I could do with seeing a pair. Trouble is I'm down in Devon. Unless there is someone local who has some I can see.

Triton - 7/10/05 at 12:07 PM

Not got a stand but i might be going to be nosey....If i don't i know somebody that will be there, maybe i could see if that certain bod would take a seat along so you can have a look....I will ask the question.

Mark

Lightning - 7/10/05 at 08:11 PM

That would be much appreciated.

Avoneer - 7/10/05 at 09:44 PM

Or, is anyone with Triton's seats already fitted going to Donny?

I really want to "try before I buy" as it were....

Talk about hot cakes....crikey

Jumpy Guy - 21/10/05 at 11:24 AM

After all this positive feedback, how comfy are the seats??

anyone who has them ever tried a long-ish journey, or are they really only for trackday use?

Hellfire - 21/10/05 at 11:47 AM

They are surprisingly comfortable. In fact they are so comfortable, you forget they're made of GRP.

Triton - 21/10/05 at 11:53 AM

I would say as comfy as a good pair of slippers

Jumpy Guy - 21/10/05 at 12:04 PM

ok - last question!

do you do a smoothie with padded inserts?

or did i make that up?

if so, how much, etc etc

Peteff - 24/10/05 at 10:28 AM

You don't need a +4" chassis you need a -4" arse , or some seats without sides.

zzrpowerd-locost - 24/10/05 at 05:06 PM

cheeky git!

kevano - 24/10/05 at 05:12 PM

yeah your arse bones must be massive ha ha ha ha sorry!!!!

zzrpowerd-locost - 24/10/05 at 06:42 PM

Well to be fair it was my hips! Seat was to tight there! Any ideas??

Think i have left myself open to a volley of abuse

kevano - 24/10/05 at 07:01 PM

i think mark(triton) does one with no side holes for your harnesses,it's basically the same but cut down a lot at the side.

COOL! price mark?

robinbastd - 27/10/05 at 10:33 PM

For all of you out there looking for bigger seats I can vouch for the size, quality and comfort of Mr Tritons latest offering "The Big Boy"
Please pester him with questions, but it will fit in a Locost,he's ready to make them and they don't have to be black.
Cash will do nicely Mark.

Triton - 27/10/05 at 10:50 PM

robinbastd,
Damn fine bloke this one...little mad but we like mad.

Mark

robinbastd - 28/10/05 at 09:56 PM

Mr Triton.
I'll have a pair of your BigBoys once the dust has settled at the dingaling.

Triton - 28/10/05 at 10:03 PM

Mr robinbastd,
No problem just let me know when and what colour.
Cheers
Mark

Guinness - 15/11/05 at 10:05 PM

The post SVA modifications continue, with some padding of Mr Triton's exceedingly good seats.

For those who haven't seen them, they come as a bare shell (before) and two seperate fibre glass shells, one for the base and one for the back.

I'm no expert (as you can tell from the photos) but last night I decided to upholster my seats. Upholster might be too strong a word for it! Fit cushions and cover them.

We cut some foam to size, stuck it down to the shells, stretched the vinyl over them and used a glue gun to stick the vinyl down.

Then fitted velcro to the backs of the shells and to the seats and fitted them. Lovely job.

Will the BIGBOYS fit my fury?Do they come with inserts
regards chris

Triton - 20/11/05 at 09:43 PM

How wide is the your Fury between cockpit and sides as the wide seats are 430mm but can be trimmed down a tad

Mark

Deckman001 - 20/11/05 at 09:47 PM

I can vouch for the quality and fit of these beauties as well Looks like I'll have a bit of room to 'grow' as well

Jason

Triton - 21/11/05 at 09:49 PM

Seriously it was today...not exactly hot but in the SUN it was nice......huge bonfire might have helped though

robinbastd - 21/11/05 at 11:13 PM

Have you met any "locals" yet?
I just hope there wasn't a witch tied to a stake in that bonfire.
Nice seats BTW

Triton - 22/11/05 at 11:17 PM

Helicopters aplenty buzzing about which is better than the constant drone of the M1....Locals are friendly

robinbastd - 22/11/05 at 11:43 PM

There are other things that drone down here though.
Nice seats BTW.

Triton - 23/11/05 at 12:00 AM

Back to normal by the end of the week as far as seat making goes.....with a website when time permits.

Yeah they are smart seats tamuchly

Deckman001 - 23/11/05 at 09:29 PM

Might have to pop down to Exeter again soon to do some work at the Court, might have to sort the timming of it as well if the camera snapped me going to the show last weekend Do you think the timing is too soon

Jason

Triton - 23/11/05 at 09:33 PM

Jason
When do you think you will be down at Exeter ........speedy camera get you then?....ooppss.

Deckman001 - 23/11/05 at 09:47 PM

No idea of date to come down,,, soon though, some of there windows don't work so should be soonish, might also be the boss going instead so will wait and see and keep dropping hints Camera was the first 1 into the road works, it was a smaller/thinner camera than I'm used to and had a plcy bag over it,, I'm hoping it is a distance trip type between two of them as i was actually slowing down to the limit and stayed below it through to the last camera
