duratec for sale edited

hi all, i am got a 2.0 duratec which i was going to put in my mk, but as the insurance have said there new poilcy i can not insure a 2.0 so i have a rebuilt 2.0 duratec siting do nothing know.

so i am going to sell this engine or break it, depends on the intreaste i get. and by myself a another engine but a 1.6.

the build thread read here

so i have a 2.0 he duratec engine with standard piston and standard rods. been rebuilt with standard parts. but new bolts and gaskets through out. it has got the standard fuel rail and injectors, and the old knackerd inlet manifold which have some sensor you may need. it was the erg port blanked off but i can supply the orginal if it is need. and has got starter motor, coil pack, fiesta st flywheel.

the oil take off plate i have made to use 1/2bsp pipe work, so you can use a remote filter.

can come with the cosworth mechanical thermostat or ford electronic one.

i have a set off gsxr750 srad throttle boddies which have been respaced to suit the duratec. come with injectors and fuel rail.

i have a duratec to type 9 catherham bellhousing as well. which has never been used on a car, just bolted to the engine loosely. edit, it is 190mm long, so looks like it is for a v6

any questions please ask.

i am looking for offers on it as a lump or parts i am not to concened as long as i get some money back.

i can post most at that but will be at buyers cost.

cheers

stuart

and i can not keep it for 7 years.

could explain....sorry you found out after all the work.
keep is what i say too, only a year or find another insurer

flak monkey - 18/1/10 at 06:56 PM

I am hugely suprised that no one will insure you

21 might be the minimum? Like I say I was insured on a 2 litre @23 YO with flux and it was about £650 for the year. Limited to 5000miles.

Lol, I was amazed at how much they quoted me for my Leon....! (not in a good way either!)

Might be different on the kit though.
