MNR VORTEX HYABUSA KIT
Ady.W - 11/11/11 at 08:33 PM

I have a MNR Vortex RT + hyabusa kit with race front end and dry sump kit.
This was MNR demonstrator chasis they had at this years Newark show. I bought it after the show with everything need to complete the car to a very high standard. The car is about 50% complete and all the work so far has been completed by MNR. As you can see from the build cost below, parts are around 17K + the build cost so far from MNR.
I negotiated a discount and paid 13.5K for the kit and have since returned the exhaust and manifold so the car owes me 12.5K. I am prepared to take a small hit to get my leg out but not much. If it doesent sell within 2 weeks I will get a local specialist to complete the car and track it next year.
I may consider a part ex with money either way but the part ex car would need to take a 6'5" driver.
If anyones interested I will try to post photos of the kit and the car in its current build state when I figure out how.

Why not complete it yourself? If funds are tight

Ady.W - 11/11/11 at 09:01 PM

Time is the issue not money. I was kidding myself that I had the time to build the car.

daniel mason - 12/11/11 at 08:36 AM

Same as me mate. I thought I'd complete it in 8 months. I'm now 18 months into it and still not quite ready for iva

Ady.W - 12/11/11 at 08:53 PM

Car to date. Engine lifted for Dry sump mod.

Are your wheels all same width as some look like they are on wrong side! Hope they are all 7"x15" so you can swap em over

Great colour scheme

Where did you get the picture as I have never seen that one before

laptoprob - 12/11/11 at 09:57 PM

Cant believe it Ady..... after all the initial boll....s you went through now its up for grabs!!

Are you going away from it totally or just going for a built version?

Rob.

daniel mason - 13/11/11 at 04:07 PM

It looks a good package for someone!

laptoprob - 13/11/11 at 05:32 PM

Reckon its about asd good as it gets for the money.

Ady.W - 13/11/11 at 08:21 PM

Rob/Daniel
Going to give it till the end of the month to try and sell. If it does I will buy something ready to track if it dont I will give it to the guys at Mac#1 or someone to finish for me ready for next season.
Dont know how you could tell the wheels are on the wrong way round from that photo but your right, I just threw them on last night to take a photo. I didnt know myself I had 2 x 205 and 2 x 195 oops.
Thanks
Ady

Tyre direction

Shame you can't finish it, it looks like it could be an awsome car.

Nearside front is correct way round. Nearside rear wrong way round.

Johneturbo - 13/11/11 at 09:29 PM

Does look like a great spec, part of me is tempted to build another one and i'd only go for a Busa or ZZR14 for an engine

just out in interest why would you get mac#1 to finish it and not MNR who obviously know the car

Ady.W - 14/11/11 at 07:16 AM

With out going into too much detail, I had a dispute with MNR when I bought the car and I find the lads at Mac# 1 easier to communicate with + they are on my doorstep so I could keep an eye on the project.

laptoprob - 14/11/11 at 07:47 AM

Sounds like a plan mate. Better get my new engine in before next year then or i`ll be playin catup

This would be a fantastic buy for someone who is wanting to build a new mnr. Mega savings on a new kit price! If I wasn't in The middle of a build I'd be coming round for a look

Ady.W - 5/12/11 at 12:06 PM

Thanks for all the interest.
The car is now sold.
Good look to Daniel with the build.

DanG - 5/12/11 at 02:41 PM

Cheers Ady - you have been a gent to deal with.

I think I will need a lot of luck with this being my first build.

I am sure I will be posting on here for help.
