MBE967ef ECU and Full Loom for Zetec
kingster996 - 7/2/17 at 07:10 PM

Due to a severe bout of Upgradeitis I have my old ECU and loom for sale

The ECU and loom come complete with relays for fuel pump and fan, connections for coilpack (edis), std ford flywheel sensor, lambda (sensor not inc), std ford water temp on stat and air temp (with sensor included).

It was on my Blactop Zetec running on gsxr throttle bodies with hayabusa injectors. I'll throw in a spare Ford ST170 harness that has the alternative injection connections if required.

I have a few maps available for Blacktop & Silvertop Zetecs, so one of them should get you up and running.

So for a zetec install all you do is connect up a tacho feed, splice in the fuel pump, connect the live and earth then plug in the rest!

Simples!

Looking for £400 for ECU and Loom (which is less than SBD charge just for a loom!)

What are you upgrading to? 😀

Got a DTA S60 Pro.

Basically, moving over to a full digi dash - AIM MXS Strada - and want to feed it via CAN which the current ECU doesn't do.

Got a decent deal on the S60 and it is the preferred ECU of my mapper (which is always a good consideration) - he did a good job on the MBE (185bhp!) but likes DTA's.

The AIM MXS dash has only got 4x analogue inputs, so by using the CAN connection and the fact that the DTA can read oil pressure, oil and water temp, lambda etc I get everything fed into the dash directly from the ECU CAN connection and thus have enough analogue's free for the odd warning or tell-tale light. It also keeps the wiring a lot neater and the dash will show me the same temp as the ECU - which isn't the case now with the round dials.

The DTA does fully sequential, traction etc and can also be programmed to soft cut if the temps or pressure fall outside of any specified safe zone - bonus!

Anyway, despite the possibility that the MBE does some of the above and could possibly link to the dash via a different connector - it's newer, it's more future-proof and I fancied an upgrade

is this tuneable on a bog standard laptop?

kingster996 - 11/2/17 at 09:04 AM

Yes.

I used an Acer laptop with serial to USB lead. Have lead and software (easimap 5 download from SBD website )

ECU is not locked so fully tuneable.

software available Here
