BEC springs

As per title really, after some front springs for a BEC. Don't want too soft, who sells them? Have looked for some but obviously not looking in the right places, what poundage should I be looking for?

I have always got mine from www.dfaulknersprings.com. They are really helpful and do just about every rate and size you would ever need.

If its 1.9" springs your looking for I have 2x 175lb and 2 x 250lb (i'd have to check) from my Protec Shocks for sale.

Just measured them, 2 1/4 inch I.D.

175lb would be too weak i would think on the front of a CEC or BEC

carnut - 19/11/10 at 04:54 PM

Appologies my memory is rubbish. They are 200LB and 350LB.

marcjagman - 19/11/10 at 05:08 PM

200lb would probably do but they're 2.25 ID.

Benzo - 19/11/10 at 05:30 PM

250's & 180's i run, got them from Rally design..

CRAIGR - 19/11/10 at 06:10 PM

Could do with some 9" 180's in 2 1/4 myself

marcjagman - 19/11/10 at 06:30 PM

Would 200lb springs be okay for the front of a BEC?

CRAIGR - 19/11/10 at 07:04 PM

Running 200's on my westfield but some mk's run a lot more

mark chandler - 19/11/10 at 07:15 PM

I have 250lb front, 200lb rear on mine, comfy on the road but a bit soft for the track I recon.

marcjagman - 19/11/10 at 07:21 PM

So for the front around 200-250lb and around 200lb for the rear on a BEC then? Did I mention I weigh 18 stone?

bob tatt - 19/11/10 at 08:34 PM

i got told 350 front 200 rear by mk for track work not got any yet was fearing a really bouncy ride on the road.

LBMEFM - 19/11/10 at 11:25 PM

MK's Indy run 300lbs (F) & 200lbs (R)

Hmm some of those figures seem a bit high.

BEC Furys run 180/130lb as std. I recently changed mine for 200/180 and I've just bought some 225's should I want to go stiffer on the front.

ive some springs at home, 2.25" either 180's or 250's, cant remember which ones i sold before, pm me!

Hi

It needs a bit more info before spring poundage's can be recommended. like what sort of angle the dampers are at and where they sit in relationship to the wishbones. Without this info you could be 50Lb-75Lb out of the ballpark. IE throwing money away.

Cheers Matt
