i need something for buying as my fabrication-skills are limited.

do i understand right: there are 2 options for the reverse:

no reverse

or reverse selectable, without any inhibitor?

Yes but he didn't go into detail on how and where the reverse detent was.

It can be done

Hi

This is the reverse peg that's comes out. . It's a pretty easy job to remove it. With regard to reverse, I made a gate out of Ali to ensure that I don't accidently engage revers. t his sits under the gear stick gaiter out of view

where does this "reverse peg" sit?

With gear out stick out of situ, you can it through the aperture looking towards the back of the box. To remove it you remove the blanking disc at the back of the box and using a narrow bar through the gear stick aperture, tap it out . A little awkward but quite straightforward

does modifying the fork on the lever hasnt the same effect?
