Wanted: 2002-2003 R1 5PW engine

Looking to source an 02-03 R1 engine. Ideally in excellent condition.

Note that I only need the bare engine; I don't need any ancillaries, although happy to purchase these if they come with the package.

Malc at yorkshire engines has always been good to me, decent motors too. I think you might struggle for a 5pw though, I ended up going zzr1400 after failing to find one.
I do have a couple in bits, if you need any spares!

Thanks, yeah it's a massive headache as my original unit was a really nice example.

I've been in touch with Malc and he's came back to me a couple of options.

My build is only just finished, so changing engine isn't an option at the mo, but maybe something for the future.

If you're parting your engine out for spares, i'm also looking for an oil cooler bolt.

I may have one available but it's like new its had a full engine rebuild so brand new internally its spare engine I may not need , cost me a lot to get rebuilt so wont lie wont be cheap but it's there if you get stuck as theres not alot of them about anymore

Ah thanks for the offer, but I’ve now managed to get hold of a bolt. Still on the hunt for the rest of the engine though!

Sorry to thread hi jack, but can I ask who rebuilt it for you? Looking to get my 5pw rebuilt in the near future.
