Where to buy used tools?
v8kid - 27/6/20 at 01:22 PM

Hi Chaps,

I'm currently searching for a Dickson T2T toolpost and holders and don't really know where to look. Best place so far is the Home Workshop site but there's nothing going at the moment. Ebay is either knock-off stuff, broken or silly prices or all three. Gumtree goes "What!!!! never heard of it" and preloved is mainly girly stuff.

What are your favourite haunts when searching for machinery?

Cheers

Not used but all that I have bought from chronos and rdg tools has been fine. Not quite got that something that the stuff at work has got but perfectly useable.

Bede Tools at Jarrow seem to get decent stuff through which never looks totally thrashed and there’s a bloke called Tom Sullivan in Fife who runs a business called Obzolete who dabbles in lathes old bikes and cars
HTH

Thanks Myke tried the first half a dozen and they are all dealers asking silly money.

I'll keep on looking

Thanks, Pauld I use these guys too for cheap new stuff but can't afford new prices of Dickson quality and the Indian copies are not good. Ta for the heads up.
