Hi Dan. After our conversation at Anglesey the weekend i gather you did not find Steve in the paddock.

But i have found his contact details.

Stephen Hills.
LRC Motorsports.
01733 352682 (mobile 07803 049712),

As i explained he supplies the parts you require and is in attendance at the race meetings with spare ones should you need. As regard the MK ones they still have too many failure problems for use on a race car.

cheers Matt

Thanks Matt.

Due to financial reasons I think I might make my own. What is the optimum wall thickness steel to use, 2mm? Also would you advise using round or square section?

You say to create 5 deg castor by using 19mm offset.

Is there any benefit to this rather than simply oversizing the mounting brackets and using spacers to provide the correct castor?

Sorry for asking so many questions!!

Thanks,

Dan

Does anyone have any experience with the above.

2mm wall should be plenty strong enough. Oversize brackets will hang off the chassis rail so might need some bracing unless you move the fu tube. Get stuck in and don't over think it.

Whats the opinion on using rectangular hollow section rather than circular hollow section?

It will be stiffer and have less deflection however will be slightly heavier.

Does anyone have any opinions of the benefits, and or short comings?
