6*AA batteries? Can't imagine that providing much heat... Probably most of the heat comes from within the waistcoat

6 x AA = 9volts. Dead easy to fix up a 9volt suppply from the car. Hence keep the batteries for use away from the car.

Could you run them at 12v and get even warmer, I hate being cold. Socks would be my best investment, when my feet are cold everywhere feels it.

Although it say in the FAQ that it's not designed to be run constantly... you're supposed to turn it on, allow it to heat up and then turn it off. Begs the question what it's for really.

used to have one when i used to ride 47 miles to work mine had a lead that was wired to bike and just had to plug it in when i got on bike top piece of kit
