Megasquirt Bluetooth

Hi,
Looking for bluetooth connectivity for my MS1 V3 initially for a laptop then an Android tablet.

The LM048/58 which looks as though it works seems expensive and the one on TS is also pricey when you include postage
The BT-232B-E on Ebay looks reasonable on price but has anybody used it successfully?

Do these need any hardware mods on the board?

Thanks

I used that adapter and it worked fine.

Not sure whether the serial port on the V3 is wired up to power the adapter (I used a separate power supply, but I have earlier MS unit).

Thanks for the info
I think that the RS232 port has 5v on one of the pins on the MS1 V3

scuderfish had a webpage with some information (a wiki thing) where I put some information.

I can't find it now, but I guess Dave will be along.

It moved when I changed over to github. It's now located here :-

Do you know if it works with the Shadow android software?

scudderfish - 20/10/12 at 11:36 AM

No reason why not. If it works with one Android app, it should work with them all.

Thanks for the help
I think I'll give it a go

Did you make any hardware mods to make it work on the MS1 V3 i.e connect pins 7 and 8 of the DB9 together?
(To make a handshake for CTS and RTS)
