4 pin connector for Innovate gauges

Hello guys, I've brought 3 Innovate gauges that measure oil pressure, oil temp, boost, air fuel ratio and RPM. To log these all at the same time which would be really handy, the gauges have to be linked together through a small 4 pin connector.

However Innovate sells the link cable for more than what I think they should cost, pictures of the cable here http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16339&cat=0&page=4

The pictures show that it's a 4 pin molex patch cable, but searching this didn't show much that looked right.

The gauges have a female connector so I need a male to male like in the picture. The female connectors on the gauges are on about 6" of wire so if possible I could rig something up like 4 small lengths of tig wire that might allow me to plug one female into the other

Any ideas?

Dave

Excellent, looks like its a 4 pin Molex micro-fit connector, this should do the job

Just got to think if innovate swap the pins around on the connectors so you have to use their cable (I'll swap the pins on the ebay cable if this is the case) both connectors have the same colours but lining them up end to end with the retaining clip on both facing up, the colours don't match up.

More digging needed but at least I've found the cable

Cheers

Surely the matching colours are not that important as long as the pin locations are the same on each end of that cable. Colours mean nothing

What I meant was that if the connectors on the two gauges are put end to end, the wires line up blue to black, black to blue, red to white, white to red. So I thought that maybe innovate change the pin locations on one end of their connect cable so that all the colours connect to their same colour.

However I found out today that black = ground, blue = connection sense, and white and red are send and receive signal. So the switched black and blue means that both gauges sense they are connected together. The switched red and white means that gauge one send signal connects to gauge 2 receive signal and vice versa.

So they eBay cable should work just right.

Also the innovate cable is 4 ft long and the eBay one is only 60cm
