Digidash 2 Lite - Oil Temp alarm
Patten - 24/7/16 at 09:56 AM

Morning all,

Trying to get my head round an issue with my Digidash

I have an an Oil temp alarm set below:

The O.I.L alarm seems to display on my Digidash way before 100c (74c was the most recent)

Once the O.I.L alarm is displayed, the two buttons on the dash don't work

Is there something really stupid that I am missing here?

Thanks
Chris

The settings look ok. I don't have mine any more but pretty sure that's what I set mine at.

Is there a miss match with the sensor? What temp does it display before it comes on?

Have you tried doing it on the digi dash programe rather than by the pc? I've press the 2 buttons together to access set up menu, and pressure its in there the correct setting,

Where have you put the oil temp guage on the engine?

Unless faulty sensor, you could swap the water and oil to see if reading ok?

Isn't the O.I.L alarm from the oil pressure switch??

Opa oil pressure alarm

I was going to suggest the same about the Oil Pressure, as my DD2 shows OIL when the pressure is low.

Edit: Just below the oil pressure boxes, you have checked the option for O.I.L

Is it showing o.i.l when the engine isn't running? I have mine set up the same and mine shows the same if I shut the engine off.

The fact the buttons stop working makes it seem like a crash. Is there a way to reset it all to default. If not speak to ETB.

Cheers for the replys

Sorry yes it has to be the Oil Pressure alarm,

I know the Digidash comes with a pressure switch which has a mechanical alarm that kicks in every now and then which is "OPA"

The "O.I.L" alarm should not kick in because its not within the criteria specified on the software settings

Opa the pile pressure alarm, I had this on my zx12 as the oil pressure at idle is very low, so had to set it at something like 900rpm, or on idle the alarm message Opa would come up. Is this the same issue for you?

Looks like the mechnical switch kicks in, My R1 5PW Oil pressure drops below the 7.5 threshold
