I am looking at a van on ebay the seller has sent me an email see below is it a scam or is it an acceptable ebay process
I have a local transport company Shiply that will take care of delivery and also registration transfer. Due to my location and since view is not an
option I have requested personal support and I was approved to use Buyer Protection Program. Here is how the process works:
- you give me your full name and shipping address
- I start the transaction with the eBay,
- they send furthe r payment instructions,
- you have to pay for the item to eBay to secure the funds,
- they confirm me that they received the funds,
- I deliver the van,
- you receive the van,
- they send me the money.
Everything is covered by eBay. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the van in good order.
Let me know if this is acceptable. Thank you

Sounds really dodgy to me mate, personally i wouldnt go through with it. You could contact ebay and see what they've got to say however.
I would also add that the english is very poor like "contact the Ebay" very fishy.

Put the terms ebay and escrow into google and you will have your answer in seconds...

eBay does do an Escrow service - well, they partner with escrow.com
Doesn't mean it's all correct though - report to eBay and see what they say about it. However, safest bet is to start looking for another
van from another seller.
it is listed as last change of keeper 1 month ago yet the seller states he has had it for 3 years reg number KM04 ZVY be aware if your looking at the same item

Starting with, "its too far away to view" borrocks "ebay protection" borroks "i list you pay"borrocks you no see money
again....
