That looks VERY purposeful!

You thinking of building or re-building?

Your MNR didnt stay long I think maybe your addicted to the build.

shaun fulcrum - 7/12/11 at 02:01 PM

Will you start afresh or rebuild a finished one? What are your plans for engine? Bike again or going to the dark side?

INDY BIRD - 7/12/11 at 06:11 PM

Hi Shaun wiil be fettling a built car and I'm afraid I'm going to the dark side after 8 years with bec . My brother just got high spec cater ham 200 + bhp at the wheels so should be a bit quick also but I do lie the bumblebees of the striker and I remember how quick your little car is but a bit past my budget for a fulcrum although I do like your look cheers Sean

shaun fulcrum - 7/12/11 at 08:29 PM

Wow, what's your brothers cat like? Model? Engine?

You looking for a car with the right engine? Or just a good base and rip the gubbins out to start fresh? What anchor you planning on?

Looking forward to seeing both cars on track next year

INDY BIRD - 7/12/11 at 10:42 PM

Spec of the caterham is a very tuned series basically same as a r500 old k series engine all qed throttle bodies rods pistons crank cams head work.dta management dry dumped Etc bills for near 10k last bill was 5k for the rebuilt engine well sorted x race car,

I will also go for a k series about 215 bhp with cater ham 6 speed box as is a very light powerpkant Ndola cater ham is 480kg wet so bec weight really running on slicks should be fun? And will def see you on track next year,

Sean

bi22le - 8/12/11 at 12:51 PM

480KG wet CEC? Thats optamistic isn't it?

Unless its had a lot of weight reduction else where like wheels, hub, uprights, gearbox and everything else.

Glad your coming to the Striker and CEC. Hopefully catch up with you in the new year, maybe a track day or car show.

Hi yep the caterhm is very light, chassis mods wheels are very very light r500 alloys even just pushing the car it's the lightest car we have had, and we have corner weight read outs to prove the weight, it's basically same spec as r500 only 1 seat etc so would be great to see u on track next year, and hope to have a striker by then also again ambition to get to around 500 kg and 200 bhp,

Thanks for the dimensions appreciate it,

Sean
