Origin for these front repeater cover?
Alez - 15/3/12 at 05:27 PM

Hi All,

My Ultima Sports is missing a front repeater cover (pics below). Do you know what car are these from, Mini or Land Rover perhaps? I'm looking to fit orange colour ones, i.e. remove the remaining clear colour one from the car. These are available from Ultima Sports but I thought I'd save a little by going scrapyard if possible. They look press fit or maybe glued, no signs of screws as far as I can see.

Thanks for any pointers.

Alex

Yep they look like wipac lights as used on the defender 90/110 ect. I have them on my 7. cheap and nasty but do the job.

As above they look like Wipac lights. I have them as well on my Indy.

Wipac first seen on rear of very late production Hillman Imp where they frequently fell off later used by Landrover.

Yet another case closed by the Locostbuilders guys.

Thanks a lot

The original Hillman Imp flasher was a nice quality Lucas unit which would fit straight in --- they look a lot better and were much more reliable, these are on ebay for a fair price for a pair.

That's fantastic! Ultima Sports are asking GBP 18 for ONE COVER and that link will give me TWO COMPLETE UNITS with better reliability, for GBP 36! At first I thought it was 36 per unit.

Incidentally I've just found out that the proper name for these seems "indicator", and you use "repeater" for the ones that go on the sides? Sorry for my messy English.
