Parcel Company Recommendations?
Neville Jones - 6/11/16 at 04:18 PM

I'm looking at sending diff centres and gearboxes.

It appears that most won't touch anything that's had oil in it.

Any recommendations folks?

Cheers,
Nev.

As far as I know Paletline will take anything on a pallet

I've used Palletline for Engines and Gearboxes in the last couple of years, just make sure they are strapped well down to the pallet.

I think they charged me £70 for a zetec and spare block on the same pallet.

I used cellophane carpet protector to wrap them, the stuff you put down to protect carpets during decorating.

Just make sure you drain all the oil out. Best to wrap them up to stop any leaking out.

Your local business packaging supplier will sell you a couple of plastic handles and a roll of pallet wrap for <£10.

We sent our stuff for work with APC and we would send hydraulic cylinders no problems, you just had to make sure they were clean and not leaking any oil and completely wrapped so there was no exposed metal showing.
