DRIVETRIBE tribe for locosts
Gsess - 14/6/17 at 03:08 AM

I joined DRIVETRIBE as soon as I heard about it, but at that time there wasn't a locost specific tribe. Now there is, right now is small (a meager 13 members) but it's a place to share anything about your locost with other people. Please join and help grow the DRIVETRIBE locost community.

P.S. sorry if this is the wrong category, (or anything else is improper) I'm new to this forum.

Pushing a new locost community on an existing locost community website could be seen as tactless?

I've looked on there a couple times and can't find any content to read.. Do you have to join to unlock the Jeremy writes?

Doesn't seem that locost related as far as i can see. Interesting though.

You have to join Jeremy's tribe to see his posts, after that it'll just show up in your feed.

It probably is, but it's easy, and I know it won't take away from this websites traffic.

The locost bubble has burst, as in 90% of locosts were built between 1997-2004 ish, when the original book was in production
of the 90% probably 45% never got finished, never to be seen

there may still be the odd car being made now from the original book, but it will not be very many

The Haynes version book is much newer, and is not a locost, although derived from the original books concept

Mine is a locost from book one, on the road in 1999 and right in the middle of the locost bubble

mines still not finished (17 years, 2 houses, 2 children and many girlfriends later ........guess what i blame the delay on )

but it will be ......... one day. started mid bubble

Andybarbet - 15/6/17 at 12:39 PM

Hah, Miker,

It's not just me then, got my chassis years ago but a divorce, many house moves, life in General, 2 kids etc

Mine will be finished at some point though, I've finally moved into a house with a garage so it will be much easier to steal some time for it now.

I will be hanging on this site still, I find the community on here unrivalled.

As a none locost owner. I find this forum to be one of the best sources of information for any custom, kit or even modified car.
