New owner - Tiger Avon

Hi Guys and Girls.

I'm a new owner and my Tiger gets delivered on Friday. Wahooooo

Im from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, does anyone know of any meets? or anyone here from Doncaster?

Also if anyone knows the car or the previous owner it would be good to find out some history, even though the car has boxes full. As i purchased it from a specialist dealer and not the owner.

Anyway, here's what you really want to see!!

What motor is in it?

I am from Wakefield so not too far from you. Just waiting for my car to get tested in next few weeks hopefully and then I will be out and about in mine and happy to meet up with you if you want

Rotherham go on facebook look for Puddle Dodgers we get out and aboy to a lot of the 750 motor club meets

Hey @jonabonospen Its currently a 2.0 pinto with a race cam and twin webbers. Im looking at options to replace the engine, although its only done 150 miles since rebuild. What are you finishing up?

Some specs: Just Rebuilt 2.0 Pinto on Twin Webbers, Race Cam, Quick Rack, Kawasaki Green, Super Cat Panels, Aero Windscreen, Tiger Interior Pack, HiSpec Brakes, Spax Coilovers, Push Button Start, Competition Clutch to name a few

Hi, that looks a nice car but I assume you know it is a Cat C or D?

I saw an advert the other day for it and they mentioned it in that, so assume they've been honest with you? In the advert it said they couldn't see signs of the accident, but it might be worth getting it checked out by someone that knows what an Avon chassis should look like and ideally by Tiger.

Assuming it's all OK, enjoy as it looks a nice car.

Edit to say, advert was on ebay but has been taken down, presumably because you've bought it.

Yea its all fine, Tiger themselfs checked everything with a full documented report, they then proceeded to do the minor work required with extras.

I called Tiger to confirm the recipes were real and they knew the car straight away, they even knew why the owner sold it because of a new love of motorbikes.

Excellent, the advert I saw looked honest so I thought they would be with you too.

If it's all straight I think you've got a great car for the money there - I was tempted by the price and just use it on track days.
