Some "nice" people have broken into my spare garage last night and stolen a new set of Al wheels, a bunch of tools, a trolley jack and ladder.

Thank goodness they didn't damage the Cobra whilst doing their worst. The bad news is none of it is insured as it's off my property.

I would guess they will be back...

Horrible to hear. I would definitely look at getting it insured as upping security as return visits are common!

Know how you feel ...
Took a few days of wondering how much free space i had in the garage..

Then I noticed arggggggggg.,..

Welding gear & gas
4 new yokohama A021's
Stainless 4 into 1
Stainless silencer
'all ' power tools..

Up went the new alarm - locks - booby traps...
as usual..
wise after the event..

Take a chill pill - probably could have been worse...

Yup - certainly were, in my case. Have since re-located to more "secure" lock-up. That is, "secure" - as in overlooked by nosey neighbours! So far, so good, but still fitted with h/d padlock, with anti-wrench provision.

I know in the States, items stolen from your car are covered by your home owners policy.

If yours is similar, could all of these items have been in the car while it was parked in the garage?

I think someone stole my backpack from work today. No one was in the office all day and my bag was tucked out of sight under a desk. When I went to get it at the end of the day I couldn't find it anywhere. It had about £3,000 worth of camera gear, laptop and other bits and pieces in it. At least last week the guy who burgled our home in March was sentenced and made to pay about £2,000 in reparations... at NZ$20 per week, taken from his benefits.
