Watching Little Nellie as a kid had a big impact on me and my interest in aviation. I'm sad that we lost one of the aviation pioneers.

Those of us that are 40-plus looked upto this guy (and many like him) -it's hard to believe that today's role models are footballers and X
Factor judges who have no idea what an autogyro or Wellington Bomber are

Quite a tribute to his skill that he made it to 97 given his profession.

Took a trip in a gyro-copter (auto-gyro but rotor powered for STO) a couple of years ago.
