Mrs has returned a pair of Cycling shorts that have split at the seam only 2 weeks old and worn twice !
They have gone up by £5 in the Shop and the have demanded the difference.
Correct me if I wrong but the goods were faulty
Surly sale of goods states its there job to replace or refund is that right ?
Thanks

According to this, you are entitled to a full refund, or if you prefer, a repair or replacement.

Yep, they have no right to demand more money. If they had gone down in price would they have refunded you the difference?! Of course not!
Tell them nice try, but they are talking bollox!
That's illegal. Sale of goods act as above mentioned tell them you will call trading standards
Mrs has gone back in with a fly in her bonnet and the Manager has 'Reluctantly' refunded her the £5.
Snotty letter to head office Time
one less customer for Sport Dirtect then !!!

Are you asking for replacement shorts? If so, not sure on where you stand with that...certainly you're entitled to a full refund...

I'd ask for a refund, clearly their shorts aren't up to much and not fit for purpose. Buy shorts elsewhere.
Suppose they could have been cheekier(no pun intended) and sent you a needle and thread!
Sports direct are the worst people for refunding and their customer service stinks!!
a new work colleague was working for Sports Direct, said it nearly broke her and must qualify as the worst company in the world to work for. and she was management!
