46.7mm on the micrometer. I have the standard red Henry. I think it's the HVR160. Looks the same on the advert.

Hole into bag is 2" or 51mm (only measuring with ruler)

On the bag it states Part No. SDB48/YYY432 10 pack std size paper construction

SDB140/YYY714 10 pack large capacity paper construction

SDB373 10 pack large microfibre (not paper) paper construction

HTH

People actually use bags in a Henry?

theconrodkid - 3/4/18 at 07:30 AM

yup, without one the foam filter cant cope and the room gets full of dust, anyhow this one is old skool, around 30 years old

We have a couple of 10 year old Henrys at work that get used for cleaning up all sorts - with bags in them!

Conrodkid's right, without the bag the muck that comes out makes vacuming a waste of time.

poped into a diy shop today and found some, came hope and tried it after an obligatry cuppa and it works like a demon again

Result!

They're good vacuums.

I've been using a Dyson upright, our old one partly to see at which point it explodes removed all the paper filters and it's totally full of metal filings and sounds like a bag of nails in a tumble drier but still working fine though very very loud
