Help me with a competition
Fandango - 25/5/20 at 03:09 PM

Hi all.

I guess a few of us are a little bored at the moment.

I am going up to Northumberland at some point in the future, to scatter a family members ashes, as per her wish, and just happened to stumble across this competition in the Sunday Times.

The prize is hotel stay in Alnick.

Have a look if you have time to kill, it has me baffled, although the "Sand Dance" song must be "Walk Like An Egyptian.

Answers are:-
Swafham.
Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

The 'absolute desert' must be Wangford Warren 11.5 miles South. The hero must be the Egyptologist Howard Carter.

If you win, I claim part of the prize; I prefer a cooked breakfast.

Michael.

Correction. Having re-read the question, the church must be St. John the Evangelist at Oxburgh.

Sorry about that.

Michael.
