For Those with Sky TV
Chris_R - 9/11/05 at 03:56 PM

I've just had Sky TV installed and it's amazing. It seems that Top Gear is on UKTV People every other hour. What other groovy programs eg scrapheap, pimp my ride, that chopper thing etc are on, what channels and at what time?

Messenjah - 9/11/05 at 04:01 PM

pimp my ride is on one of the mtv channels (440 +) atleast once a day and i think on alot on teusdays not entirely sure

american chopper is on discovery channel
(551)

and there are a few car related programmes on i think its (134) disc home and leisure

Discovery H&L have some good progs (133 or 134). I like American Hotrod and biker build off.

Sexcetra is interesting at times. Cant remember channel - 120 something iirc.

Most haunted - somewhere between 110 and 120 - living TV.

fesycresy - 9/11/05 at 04:04 PM

Give it 6 months, 200 channels and still nothing to watch.

Most Haunted Channel 112 Tues 9:00pm

Real time is great as is descovery.

Don't worry if you miss anything as it's repeated a dozen times after.

If you like Poker there's loads on Makes compelling viewing watching the masters at work if you care for that sort of thing. If you don't then it's probably unbelievably dull!!

indeed, the discovery channels are excellent I was watching Fred Dibnah all last week, bless him. I think the channel numbers you mention are NTL numbers not sky though? Might be wrong

Are you sure about that? Think of the great works of classic literature you could be indulging in, or building your car, or learning to fart "God Save The Queen". Surely anything's better than a sedentry life of shyte TV?

Cheers,

Neil.

Nope - those are Sky numbers.

The latest filmed episode of American Hotrod is on in 30 minutes (already seen it as I recorded the 5pm showing on Sky+ ) - the Make A Wish car, but also including Extreme Gravity Racing

Stephen

PS Was it me, or were the last 3 episodes quite chilled in contrast to the rest of the series?

Yup!
Maybe Boyd Coddington needs to do more charity work in order to bring things into perpective.
It seems that with each new build another member of staff leaves or is fired.

When I saw how they were behaving towards Max I wondered what was different until I saw the "Make a wish" Logo. If they can behave that well with a disadvantaged person why can't they behave like that all the time?

After considering it for a long time - we are finally moving into the silicunt age and going digital. It's better than the 4 poor channels we currently have you see. Seeing as our Tony is turning off the analogue signal shortly we really have no alternative but to install a satallite dished system. Our reception in the valley is extremely weak, even with a 12' mast and amplifier. Legally, I can't put a dish on the front of my house but I've no real alternative.

What alternative's are there to Sky?

I'm considering Sky+ as the price is £49 with 3 months free and from £15/month. Includes free dish and installation, reduced digi-box.

After the year's subscription is up I get at least one more channel than I used to get
