If they can keep the bonnet sane that could be a rather stealthy weapon.

The Meteor is basically a non-supercharged Merlin engine used in various tanks.

Quite simply awesome. Interesting choice of project car. Cant wait to read about this next installment in the mag. It has megasquirt efi as well.

Looks like its going to be a well presented show car to boot. Lots of nice prep on the shell.

Anyone know why they opted for LHD???

previously did 120mph at 1,500revs!!!! How mad is that?

I think you will find that the Meteor only did about 2500 rpm max. 750HP @2500rpm.
The car did in excess of 200Mph.

I believe the Merlin ran to about 3200 rpm, and had the supercharger, and Different magnetos (higher revving version - Advance / Retard curves??) to the tank version.
Merlin ran 1000HP to 2070hp (last model)

John Dodd had a Meteor in a Fi/Glass body.... and held the Caravan towing speed record some 30 ish years ago
