oh dear God! am I really about to...
worX - 28/8/08 at 10:59 PM

Well I was genuinely trying to last until after midnight so I could actually say the words "I'm getting married today"! But those pesky vodka monkeys have got hold of me again and I'm not going to last that long I think!!

I'm posting on my phone from the floor of my uncles (wooden floored) spare room, as I've given up my house to the In-laws that have flown in, and my beautiful wife, to be, has been offered refuge at my parents place, so that's all that's left for me!

Thank you to Joe for starting the post earlier for me, and Thank-you to everyones kind wishes on there!
I've made quite a few friends on this forum, so those comments were very well received, by us both - thanks!

Well I have to be up early as I've got stuff to do! Allegedly!!!!
So all the best to everyone and I'll "see" you all soon as a married man!!!!!!!

Kind regards,
Steve (& Milenah)

Ps. To everyone at valley and anglesey, I am still jealous in spite of my packed weekend and drive safe and drive fast! And if your names Gerry, drive sideways!
But obviously not as sideways as me!

Pps, sorry if the avatar is wrong, I can't tell the size of the images from my phone, and to be honest I still have a fair old list of stuff to do before 10.30 tomorrow morning, so I won't be changing it for a few hours yet!

Steve!

You'll look back and think - why did I even worry!! I really enjoyed my Wedding and so did everyone who attended apparently. Could have been down to the fact that something like 1/2 the budget went on alchohol!

I did it 3 years ago, best thing Ive ever done. Sure there is the "guess what im really trying to say" stuff but we all knew that before hand.
Plus she`s a carpenter who need no help with the house extension. Well worth it.
Best wishes from both of us.

Best of luck mate!

Marriage is great, you don't have to think for yourself any more, just harrness the awsome power of "Yes dear".

Cheers

Chris

Confused but excited. - 29/8/08 at 02:56 PM

CONGRATULATIONS!
If you are half as happy as we were, you'll be doing OK.
We had been together 37 years this year and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if I could.
I would like to wish you both all the best for your future together.

Bob C - 29/8/08 at 11:48 PM

The best advise i can give you is, from now on she will always be right, don't argue your case (us men know you'll be right) but women don't understand. If she say's don't do it, thats a 50/50
if it's for her then she means do it, if it's for you then don't

So in just an hours time you will have joined the many countless men who spend there entire lives confused.

"Don't bother getting me anything special for my birthday" really means it better be bigger and better than the present you got me last year.
while "get me a diamond ring for my birthday" really means she wants a diamond ring for her birthday

then there's the problem of "do what you want" That really means do what she wants, failure to comply with these simple but confusing positions can cause extreme bout's of "The silent treatment"
This is when she replys in one words answers, questions like "are you ok" often come back with the reply "yes or fine etc" but you'll rarely get more than this, so you then ask what's wrong, 1st time the answer will be "NOTHING" and maybe a similar answer for the next 3 times you ask her, but that's where you could go wrong, my tips you have to ask her "whats wrong" at least once, if you don't do this then she'll assume you don't care (that can be really bad ) but becareful not to ask it too many times, because then you'll get a reply you hadn't anticipated, yep you got it, remember that time 3 years ago when you forgot something, well thats the 1st thing she'll list followed by everything you've done wrong for the past 3 years no matter how trivial.

I could go on and on, but i'm happily married (10 years next month ) i've learnt over the last 10 years what to do and when to do it, think of it as a game and you'll be fine

Chris

You are so right! I made the mistake of "dont bother getting me anything" And spent the next few days making up for it!

So then steve, when is the new little one due?
