Good morning,
I am about to start construction of the exhaust system for my ZX9R E powered BEC. I am looking for some advice on the best way of tackling the
headers.
I intended to construct these from scratch using some 1.5" stainless mandrel bends from ebay, but I am concerned about how I am going to mate
these to the engine, looking at pics, the original seems to have a ring arond the tube, then a 2 stud flange

Am I going to be able to construct this, or would I be better buying standard headers and modifying them ?? Does anyone know if the standard headers
are stainless, and the tube diamater ??
Thanks
Standard headers are made of soem exotic titaniam alloy that does not respond to welding.
I tried both electric and gas on mine and reduced the metal to a mush.
I ended up brass brazing the new steel pipes to the flange. Not recommended though as they can get very hot. Only intended as template but sold it on
before I could get it sorted.
