Bike Carb Fuelling Setup
locosaki - 6/11/09 at 03:08 PM

Hi all,

I've just finished fitting ZZR1100 carbs to my Vauxhall redtop,Does anyone have a rough idea in how I should be setting these up ?

There is no one up my neck of the woods(Fife Area) that do these conversions so I'll have to get this correct on my own !

I assume to get the fuelling set up any where near correct I'm going to have to buy a wideband Lamda sensor,Is this correct ?

Thanks in advance

On my Zetec Bogg Brothers drilled the main jest to 1.7mm, and advised 3.5 turns out on the pilot screws.

You'll need a vacuum gauge to balance them, assuming the one with the throttle stop is number 3, set number 4 to match it, followed by 2 then 1.

a wide band lambda will be useful if you plan to jet the car yourself, it will give you an accurate readout of if the engine is running rich or lean.

This site is handy for the theory side of setting up bike carbs:
