Zetec turbo oil feed
hazardpro - 30/10/17 at 03:57 PM

Hi guys.

To all Zetec turbo users.

Im running a Zetec black top with Escort RS (t3) turbo.

Im currently rebuilding the turbo as its knackered and I want to be sure its getting enough oil.

The oil feed union on my setup has a pretty small hole, only 2mm which is think is too small. It can be opened up (up to) 4mm if needed.

Just wondered if anyone new what they were running?

I was told there is a simply test you can do to ensure enough oil it getting to your turbo, and it should be (at least) 300ml running out the turbo oil outlet within a 60 second period....

Thanks

H

Thats good to know - as mine is 2mm and probably why the turbo is fried!

Do you have any spec, pics etc of your setup?Always nice to know what and how other people are running zetec turbos

Ah ok thanks.

Sounds like me 2mm is way to small!

Depends on your restrictor. My Td04 has m10 banjos at the block and turbo.

The Impreza banjo has somthing like a 1.6 hole.

Looks small but I can tell you there is lots of oil coming from the return.
