Hi all,
I'm trying to get my head round the inlet for my project. I can either use the standard type of inlet with a plenum and single large throttle
body or try to use individual throttle bodies in a sealed plenum chamber.
The car will be run on aftermarket management like emerald or omex, the question is will it/could it work?
TIA
Jay

I did a fair bit of reading about this subject ages ago as I have a long term plan (and a pile of parts) to SC my 4AGE.
The general consensus is to use 1 butterfly at the front of the plenum IIRC.
As my 4AGE already has quad throttle bodies, I will be sticking with them.
You can do either. ITBs work really well, mine made 400BHP on a Rotrex.
Cheers gents, as usual google has done me no favours lol.
Either works just fine.... I have done both
I've turbocharged my R1 engine and I've gone for a single TB combined plenum and inlet on the advice of my mapper as he said ITB''s won't gain you any power on a charged engine and take a bit more time to set up/balance etc.
ITBs will be 'crisper' to drive than a single TB but, all things being equal, not make any more peak power. I'd fit ITBs every time
Single tb will be smoother and more drivable as it will have a smaller cross sectional area.
I have itb's on my setup (gsxr), works very nicely

Cheers gents.
