but knowing what Edinburgh is like they won't ban them, they'll just tax them - you only have to look at there parking controls
they've wanted a congestion charge for years, but they know that they'll get voted out if they try it

It's something that a few people have heard whispers about it, I hope it's not true because it is so ridiculous.
I would like to believe that it isn't true, but then somebody has gone to the bother of starting a petition to the government against it... it
does no harm to sign it...
But then a lot of the car industry is in a mess so it could be something to do with them...?

One of the german towns did ban older cars but the council then thought about the matter and realised that the pollution from what amounted to about
0.05% of traffic wouldn't warrant a ban.
Incidentally, the pollution from buses/lorries in London was kept under wraps cos things were getting worse, despite getting rid of old
routemasters/cars.
