See what the power of positive thought can do...

Now let's not have any more of those negative waves...I haven't got room to take wets with me!

There you go with the negative waves! See what you've done!

Got to go...a 400bhp RX7 as just pulled into the yard...

Strangely, if you get the same forecast for Louth (nearest town) it looks worse...

I've just been reading through and signing my forms for Cadwell tomorrow, and notice that as well as the normal 105dBA static test, there's a 98dBA drive-by test?!?! That's as strict as Donington which is a big no-no for BEC's!

Is this a recent thing? I certainly don't recall that 2 years ago!

OK, twas a funny old day!.. First of all a huge thankyou to all the folks that persevered with my broken exhaust collector. I was ready to give up on it and call it a day. Not sure who it was that claimed to finally get the thing off, there were hands and hammers flying all over the place, but well done!
We got a few dry runs in between rectification and monsoon like rain showers, so not too bad in the end.
Not much video to choose from but I'm sure Pete will manage to cobble something together.

Few pics, may get some more up tomorrow.

I'll let Adrian explain the last two.

Well I spent the morning failing to get to grips with the circuit and getting mugged by Clio's and sheltering from the rain in MK's circus tent (full of clowns according to some).
Then was just starting to get it sussed after lunch when I came over the blind crest on the back of the circuit at 115mph to find torrential rain in the braking zone. Got away with it and just about got back to the pits before the car filled up. Bigfoot spent the rest of the day wearing just a rain suit 'cos everything else was wet.
Then when it dried up I had a 45min session when I was going pretty well. Then it rained again as I came in with a dry tank. Once it dried out I went out for the last go and the track was drying but I took it easy. End of the first lap and I lit up the back wheels cresting the "mountain", spun it, caught it, lost it, almost caught it, got on the 30' grass bank and slid down and kissed the barrier. Looks like the bonnet is trashed but not a lot more. Could have been worse.
I think the weather could be described as "changable"! Did 100 miles despite the weather breaks.
