The Vauxhall Chevette makes a good, cheap, donor vehicle. The only viable one for North America unless you count the ultimate hairdresser car, the
Miata/MX5, an expensive poofmobile. Not that I'm being judgemental.

Wouldn't be beyond the talents of some here to make a replica of the T16. Front end looks pretty much standard up to the B pillar, and a mould
for the rear clam could be taken from the donor after some modification for the vents. Z-cars style cage/engine subframe and you've got a
rather desirable car (IMO).
